Andrea Lowenthal, Esq., has been a practicing member of the New York State Bar since 1989.
Attorney Lowenthal is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and several of its practice-specific sections including the Elder Law and Trusts & Estates Sections. She is on the Editorial Board of the Elder Law Attorney as Co-Editor in Chief and a contributing author. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel LLC, and ElderCounsel LLC, which are estate and elder law professional organizations. She is a member of the Law & Aging Committee of the City of New York Bar Association.
Andrea Lowenthal, Esq. practiced as a corporate lawyer for many years with the New York offices of Shearman & Sterling and Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., where she was counsel on domestic and international matters including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, private equity investments, and corporate reporting and disclosure.
She graduated from Brooklyn Law School, cum laude, and from Boston University, School of Management, summa cum laude. At Brooklyn Law School, she was the Editor in Chief of the Brooklyn Law Review, and a member of Jessup International Moot Court team.
